The Lady Cats Varsity Volleyball team had a full weekend. After playing all day on Thursday in the Detroit Tournament, the Lady cats would host Leonard on Friday. Leonard took the game in three highly competitive sets (23-25, 21-25, 19-25). The JV would also fall to Leonard, but much like the varsity, their game was back and forth throughout the sets (23-25, 20-25). Leading the way for the Lady Cats varsity was Ryan Jones with 10 assists, 6 digs, and 3 kills. Samantha Lind had 11 kills and 5 digs. Taylor Vick had 6 digs and 4 kills. Cori Peterson had 3 aces and 5 digs. Scarlett Trevino had 10 digs.

On Saturday morning, the Lady Cats loaded up and were back in action in the Detroit Tournament. Their play on Thursday set them up in the silver bracket. Game one within the bracket would see the Lady Cats win in three sets over Yantis (25-11, 12-25,25-18). Ryan Jones had 17 assists, 2 aces, 7 kills, and 2 digs. Samantha Lind had 7 kills, 4 aces, and 14 digs. Taylor Vick had 8 kills, 9 digs, and 2 aces. Scarlett Trevino had 30 digs.

In the championship game, Tom Bean beat Savoy in straight sets (25-22, 25-19). Your Lady Cats drove home champions of the silver bracket! Ryan Jones had 16 assists. Taylor Vick had 6 kills and 4 digs. Sam Lind had 8 kills and 5 digs. Scarlett Trevino had 5 digs.

The Lady Cats look to continue their momentum against Howe on Tuesday the 15th at home. The JV game will start at 5:00pm and the varsity will follow.
